On July 30, 2018 (Sunday), the Institute of Quality Management (IPQ) received a goodwill visit from the ICC Unit of Polytechnic Seberang Perai (PSP), Penang. This visit involved 38 staff comprising of lecturers and administrators.
The head of the delegation, Mrs. Fazilatul Haida informed IPQ that the visit was held for sharing and exchanging of ideas to produce methods of improvement and problem solving in helping to improve the quality of polytechnics and universities management. The main focus of the visit was to share knowledge in managing the Innovative and Creative Group (ICC) project managed by IPQ UUM.
The group was welcomed by the Quality Excellence System Division Manager, Dr. Logasvathi Murugiah. In her welcoming speech, she informed them of IPQ’s background and its function in UUM.
The program was continued with a briefing on the introduction of ICC in UUM, the role of IPQ in improving the quality of services and productivity, and ICC work culture in UUM by Mrs. Siti Hajar Mat Isa. At the briefing, the group also shared their patented and commercialised ICC product which is a complete set for slaughtering farm animals.
The program ended with an exchange of memento between IPQ and PSP. IPQ hoped that the occasion will be continued for knowledge sharing as well as strengthening the relationship between the two organizations implementing ICC.
