On 9 March 2015 (Monday), the Quality Management Institute (IPQ) held a briefing entitled, "Universiti Utara Malaysia ISO Audit Roadmap" at the Seminar Hall C, UUM Convention Complex. The briefing was conducted by the Quality Excellence Section, IPQ-UUM. A total of 40 Internal Administration Auditors attended the briefing.

The main objective of the briefing was to enlighten the Auditors on Universiti Utara Malaysia ISO Audit Roadmap for the year 2015. In particular, in this briefing, disclosure and description of the important activities of ISO 2015 had been given in detail to all University ISO Auditors (Administration). The Director of IPQ-UUM, Assoc. Prof. Dr Haim Hilman Abdullah stressed that, among the most important activities are the two (2) major ISO projects, namely the ISO Assessment Procedure based on the Best Management Practices (BMP) and Internal Quality Audit.

According to Dr Haim, the implementation of BMP ISO special projects focuses on revaluation of 316 procedures of MS ISO 9001: 2008 for the purpose of improvement. The implementation of these activities involves a period of four (4) months, starting this April as the beginning Phase of the project. A total of 20 ISO auditors teams will be involved in this special project. In addition, 20 teams of auditors will also be involved in the Internal Quality Audit (Administration) which will be held in June. As for the audit preparation, auditor workshop will be held in April.

Finally, the IPQ-UUM would like to thank all the Auditors who attended the briefing. The IPQ-UUM is also expecting that all the Centres of Authority (PTJ) that will be involved in these ISO projects can provide support as much as possible for the sake of continuous improvement.
