The Institute of Quality Management (IPQ) was awarded the Best Supporting Centre of Authority (PTJ) in the UUM Excellence Award 2014/2015. The award was presented by the Vice Chancellor of UUM, Prof. Dato' Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak in the Vice Chancellor’s Annual Address 2016 on 27th January 2016.
The audit session was held in 2015 taking into account the achievements throughout 2014. The assessed aspects includes service management (60%), financial management (20%), strategic plan achievements (10%) and website performance assessment score (10%).
IPQ previously received the Best Supporting Centre of Authority (PTJ) Award 2013/2014 with ‘4 star’ rating and successfully retain the victory with improvement in the rating to ‘5 star’ in 2014/2015.
The Director of IPQ, Prof. Madya Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah in a gathering with IPQ staff after the event expressed his happiness and congratulated all the staff on the victory. According to him, success does not come easy, it requires hard work and passion in carrying out task entrusted.
"I hope this award will serve as a catalyst to the staff of IPQ to remain committed to facilitate other centres in the effort to spearhead UUM to the international arena through Phase 2 of the UUM Strategic Plan (2016-2020) as expressed by the Vice Chancellor in his address.
At the same event, Vice Chancellor also presented the award for Best School Award to the School of Computing, Best Leading Centre to Sultanah Bahiyah Library and Best CoE Award to the Institute of Tun Mahathir Mohamad’s Thoughts.
