E-MANAGEMENT PROJECT– ENHANCE BURSARS’ FINANCIAL EFFICIENCY PROCESS

On 24 March 2016 (Wednesday), a session of Undergraduate Fees Module and Postgraduate Fees Module for Student Account System (SAP) was held at the Bursars’ Meeting Room, UUM. The system is one of the special projects under e-Management, Institute of Quality Management (IPQ) handled by Pn Zarina Embi, e-Management Project Manager.

The handover session was led by Dr Mazni Omar as the Deputy Director of Corporate Planning Division, IPQ. The system certificate was handed to the system owner, UUM Bursar, Tuan Hj Amron Man. Also present at the session are En Mohtar Hasim as the Treasurer Assistant, Pn Mazidah Samsudin as the Treasurer Senior Assistant, Pn Zarina Embi as the e-Management Manager and Pn Zainun Ngah as UUMIT Deputy Director. Apart from that, letters of appreciation and thank you letters was presented to those who are involved in the module handover session; the Bursar, consultants comprises of the lecturer’s from School of Computing (SOC), and UUMIT technical team.

The modules development has passed the user-acceptance test and are ready to be used to process the fees of the undergraduates and postgraduates students. The use of this system will be able to save time processing the fees charge for UUM students. With the handover of this module, it is hoped that it will be able to increase student’s satisfaction in dealing with the Bursar in particular and UUM generally.

e-Management, is a special project under IPQ aims to ensure operational efficiency and service delivery in UUM upgraded to the best level. There are eight (8) main CoA involved in Phase 1 inclusive of several systems/ modules for Bursars’, Registrars Department, Chancellery, IPQ, HEA, and the Library.
