On 6th April 2016 (Wednesday), the Institute of Quality Management (IPQ) organizes the Internal Audit Briefing for the academic and administrative auditors at Seminar Hall C, Convention Centre, UUM. A number of 31 academic auditors and 66 administrative auditors present at the briefing.
The briefing begins with opening speech by the Director of IPQ, Assoc. Prof Dr Haim Hilman Bin Abdullah. “The future of our university requires commitment from everyone, from the Vice-Chancellor to the General Office Assistant. We need to practice the 3P concept of People, Process & Performance. We need the right people at the right place, right process for particular job and right performance measure for every assigned task. I would like to extend my highest gratitude to all the auditors who have assisted the university enabling UUM to achieve success after success over the recent years, you’re the unsung hero” says Dr Haim.
The one day briefing is a refreshment for all the auditors before they begin the audit process this June. The briefing sessions was divided into two sessions where the morning session was for the academic auditors and the evening session was for the administrative auditors. The briefing was conducted by the Deputy Director of Quality Excellence System Division, Dr. Noor Hasmini Binti Haji Abd. Ghani. Meanwhile the facilitators presented MS ISO 9001: 2008 Internal Audit Action Plan and divides the auditor’s team to both groups. The Administration Internal Audit will be held on 1st to 15th June 2016 while the Academic Internal Audit will be held on 1st to 30th June 2016.
IPQ hopes all auditors will stay passionate to carry out their responsibilities as auditors and later enhance UUM’s Quality Management System and Academic Quality Assurance in realizing the University’s vision to become the Eminent Management University.
