IPQ HELD TWO-WAY STRATEGIC DISCUSSIONS WITH SIRIM AND MPC

The Institute of Quality Management (IPQ) UUM on 20th July 2016 held two-way discussions with SIRIM STS (Standard + Training + Consultancy), Shah Alam Selangor and Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), Petaling Jaya Selangor. The two discussions were held at the respective office of SIRIM and MPC.

The main purpose of the discussion is to create synergy to implement effective competitive strategies and value added to the organizations and their respective clients. According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah, the Director of IPQ, the two-way discussion is crucial to enhance UUM’s competitiveness and image along with improvements to the products and services provided which will later lead to higher added values to both parties. He also added that the collaboration effort is crucial for UUM as a platform to further strengthen its service and thus able to face the increasingly challenging global environment. Also, present for the discussion is Dr Noor Hasmini Hj Abd Ghani, Deputy Director of IPQ Quality Excellence System, UUM.

In order to materialize the cooperation, MoU between the organizations was designed and will be implemented in the near future. The discussion with SIRIM was led by Dr Azman Idris, the Senior General Manager of SIRIM STS Sdn. Bhd., while the discussion with MPC was led by Tuan Hj.  Ab. Rahim Yusoff, Deputy Director of MPC.

IPQ hopes the cooperation will be able to offer the best benefit for the University and the students. In addition, the implementation of the designed programme could further improve UUM’s service quality, consequently add values to the stakeholders and ultimately able to realize the vision to become an eminent management university.
