The outcomes for Quarter 2 (Q2) of UUM Strategic Plan Phase 2 presented the framework for further improvements and for the university community to step up and put in place more refined strategies to bring UUM to the international arena.
UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato' Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak stated that, the presentation of the end result for Q2 will assist the university to formulate strategic adjustments and improvements for the remaining six months.
The meeting saw the presentations from the Deans and Heads of Centre of Authority concerning the current state of their respective departments, the aims as well as the necessities required to fulfil their goals.
The reports offered significant recommendations and guidance for the management team and this will certainly help the university to set the stage and map out the journey to realise the rest of UUM Strategic Plan.
"UUM Strategic Plan is a matter of great consequence for the reason that it precedes the attainment of our aims and goals; nevertheless we should not simply rest on our laurels,” said Prof. Dato' Seri during the presentation of UUM Strategic Plan Phase 2 Achievements (Q2: January-June) at the Senate Meeting Room this morning.
UUM Strategic Plan Phase 2 focuses on four core thrusts i.e. Thrust 1(Enhancing Scholarship and Internationalisation); Thrust 2 (Developing Human Capital and Talent Management); Thrust 3 (Students Holistic Development) and Thrust 4 (Wealth Generation).
During the presentation, Prof. Dato' Seri also expressed his utmost congratulations to Islamic Business School (IBS) for being awarded the GIFA Market Leadership Award (For Education in Islamic Banking and Finance) at the Global Islamic Finance Award (GIFA) 2016.
