SIX EXPERIENCED SPEAKERS ENLIVEN SIQIC 3

The Institute of Quality Management (IPQ) in collaboration with Seberang Perai Polytechnics has successfully organised the Integrity, Quality, Innovation, Creativity and Blue Ocean Strategy (Public & Private Sector) Seminar on the 4th to 6th of October at De Baron Resort, Kuah Langkawi.

The seminar was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato’ Othman Aziz, Deputy Finance Minister I, Ministry of Finance Malaysia, also UUM Deputy Ministry Mentor. The seminar has attracted a number of 85 participants from various sectors aimed to “optimise the employees self potential in driving the organisations’ and nations’ agenda” focuses at the issues related to integrity, quality, innovation, creativity and the blue ocean strategy.

SIQIC 3 has achieved its’ objectives with the six experienced speakers who are also experts in their fields. The seminar begins with the creativity in innovation segment and was delivered the Director of Ahmad Idham Film Academy, Y. Brs En. Ahmad Idham Ahmad Nazri. Later, it was followed by Y.Brs. Tn. Hj. Mohamad Diah Hj. Wahari, Senior Director of Malaysia Institute of Integrity talked about the issues of integrity in public service. He emphasised the significance of integrity in realising the Vision 2020. Meanwhile, the third speaker, Y.Brs. Dr. Mohd Azman Idris, the Senior General Manager of SIRIM STS Sdn. Bhd. shared his experiences in enculturation of quality through SIRIM TQM Standard.

The seminar was later continued with Y.Brs. Tn. Hj. Ahmad Murshid Abu, Senior Manager of MPC presented the aspect of “Transformation through Innovation towards Organisations’ Success.” Followed by Assoc Prof Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah presented his paperwork entitled “The Public Sector Blue Ocean Strategy: Driving the Organisations’ Competitiveness.” Y. Brs. Mejar (K) Hj. Zulkifli Ariffin, the Director of Seberang Perai Polytechnics ended the seminar with his innovation sharing in TVET.

Apart from that, there is also the officiating ceremony of the 5S/QE Practice Manual and the MoU signing between UUM with SIRIM STS Sdn. Bhd. and Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC) witnessed by Yang Berhormat Dato’ Othman Aziz. As a whole, SIQIC 3 was a great success as the feedback from the participants was encouraging.

The Director of IPQ, Assoc Prof Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah said, SIQIC will be a continuous event  and most likely will make it internationally and known as i-SIQIC.
