KIK ROADSHOWS HELP TO STABILISE PTJs PREPARATION FOR KIK PROJECT REPORT

The Institute of Quality Management (IPQ) has successfully organised six series of roadshows for the Innovative and Creative Group (KIK) from September 27 to October 25, 2016 which were held in the Main Meeting Room of IPQ. The KIK roadshows were held to give exposure and sharing of knowledge in the preparation of KIK reports in accordance to the criteria set by MAMPU.

The KIK roadshows were attended by a number of teams representing the various Centres of Authority (PTJs) in UUM. Among them were the School of Economics, Finance & Banking (SEFB), the Security Department, U-Assist, Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Department of Development and Maintenance (JPP), School of Law (SOL), Institute of Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad (IPDM), Northern Corridor Research Centre (NCRC) and the School of Quantitative Sciences (SQS).

In his welcoming speech, the Director of IPQ, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah quoted words from Dato 'Prof. Dr. Asma Ismail, the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia that KIK is actually a platform designed to allow administrative employees to share the innovation and creativity inherent in their daily tasks.

In addition, a description of the relevant criteria for KIK was also shared by Dr. Hasmini Noor Hj Abd Ghani, the Deputy Director of Quality Excellence System. It is hoped that these KIK roadshows can help and encourage the KIK teams to continue to innovate and be more dynamic in the preparation of the KIK report as specified.
