ISO TRIPLE RISK MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP UPGRADES AUDITORS KNOWLEDGE

The Institute of Quality Management (IPQ) has conducted a workshop on Risk Management SR10 on 9 January (Monday) 2017 and another workshop on Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001: 2015) on 10 January (Tuesday) 2017. Both workshops were conducted at the Institute of Quality Management (IPQ) Main Meeting Room.

A total of 70 university internal quality auditors consisting of the administrative and academic auditors   attended the workshops. These workshops were a continuation of the three (3) series of the Triple ISO workshops which were previously carried out in December 2016. In general, the purpose of the workshops is to ensure that all auditors understand the guidelines on Risk Management (ISO 31000: 2009) in the SR10 and ISO 14001: 2015. In addition, the auditors were also revealed to the importance of risk management, risk analysis process and risk documentation report for each Quality Procedures (QP), Work Order (AK) and regulations and guidelines developed by the Centre of Authority (PTJ) and Schools (PP).This knowledge is very important to all UUM auditors to comprehend when auditing is carried out during the ISO transition level 9001:2015 or TRIPLE ISO OYAGSB.

The invited  speakers for the workshops  were  Mr. Lim Kim Yook, a Principal Consultant of Technical KY Quality Sdn. Bhd. and Mrs. Armpon a / p I Weng a Principal Consultant of Global Jayamaju Sdn. Bhd. Both consultants have extensive experience of over 20 years as ISO consultants including ISO 9001 (Quality Management System), SR10 and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System).

The Director of IPQ, Associate Prof. Dr. Faudziah Binti Zainal Abidin, in her speech thanked the auditors for their commitment in attending both workshops. In her concluding speech Assoc. Prof Dr. Faudziah quoted the words of an ustaz   “belajar bukan untuk menjadi pandai, tetapi untuk tahu”. to end her speech.
