The Institute Quality of Management (IPQ) has organized a workshop for Academic Internal Quality auditors to stabilise the Internal Quality Audit process in line with the transition of ISO 9001: 2015. The workshop was conducted on 14 May, 2017 (Sunday) at IPQ, Executive Meeting Room. The workshop provided the auditors to additional aspects on the implementation of risk management in the transition process of ISO 9001: 2008 to ISO 9001: 2015.
The guest speaker, Prof. Dr. Rushami Zien Yusoff from the School of Business Administration has extensive experience in the field of quality management and was the first director of IPQ. He talked about the philosophy, objectives and the characteristics that every good auditor should have. The next session was conducted by Madam Armpon a / p I Weng, the Principal Consultant of Global Jayamaju Sdn. Bhd. Madam Armpon is a consultant appointed by UUM and has vast experience in ISO. During her session, the participants were informed of ISO 9001: 2015 requirements which need to be considered during the audit process. In addition, role play activities were also carried out to let the auditors understand the audit process better before conducting it.
IPQ hopes that the Internal Quality Audit process and SIRIM Audit will run smoothly this year in order to ensure the transitional process a success. Finally, IPQ would like to thank all auditors for their cooperation and commitment during the workshop.
