The Corporate Planning Division (BPK), Institute of Quality Management (IPQ) in collaboration with UUM CAS has organized a roadshow for the 2017 Strategic Plan (Phase II: 2016-2020) on June 5, 2017 at the CAS Seminar Hall. The briefing was presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nor Azam bin Abdul Razak, the Deputy Director of Corporate Planning Division, IPQ.
For the year 2017, the UUM Strategic Plan consists of 4 Core trusts, 8 Key Result Areas, 13 Strategies, 17 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and 201 Performance Indicators (PIs) were developed to achieve the main agenda of the University such as QS Rankings, QS Rating, Times Higher Education and UI GreenMetric at the global level, while national agendas such as University Research (RU) / MyRA, SETARA, MyMOHES and PPPM-PT.
The two-hour briefing was attended by the Assistant Vice-Chancellor, the deans, the academic and administrative staff of CAS UUM. The briefing was aimed at giving exposure to all staff on the Phase II of the Strategic Plan: 2016-2020, particularly for the year 2017. In the briefing, emphasis was given on the Performance Indicator (PI) in relation to research, publications and consultations which are closely linked to the role of academic staff.
Based on the 2016 achievements, there are several KPIs that need to be addressed in 2017 such as research, publications, UUM career pathways and wealth creation. Therefore, UUM campus community is urged to continue to work together in achieving the targets set by the Management.
During the briefing, Prof. Dr. Zurni bin Omar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hisham bin Dzakiria, Dr. Nor Laily binti Hashim, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Suzilah bint Ismail and Dr. Bahtiar bin Mohamad, were announced as the Top 5 authors who contributed most articles indexed in Scopus / WoS, while Prof. Dr. Ku Ruhana binti Ku Mahamud, Prof. Dr. Norshuhada bint Shiratuddin and Assoc.Prof. Dr. Fauziah binti Baharom were announced as the Top 3 lead researchers for research grants.
Also present at the briefing was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Faudziah Zainal Abidin, the Director of IPQ. The next Strategic Plan roadshow will involve the PTJs of COB UUM.
