UUM’S PREPARATORY MEASURES TOWARD CERTIFICATION OF ISO 9001: 2015

on .

In keeping with the efforts to strengthen and sustain UUM's Quality Management System to meet international standards through ISO 9001 certification, IPQ is preparing the Academic Internal Auditors to perform internal auditing tasks through the certification transition phase of ISO 9001: 2008 to ISO 9001: 2015.

All of us are aware that this year, UUM will go through the certification transition of ISO 9001: 2008 to ISO 9001: 2015 which focuses on the combination of process and risk-based analysis approaches using the “Plan-Do- Check-Act "at all levels of the University as described in the previous workshops. In connection with that, a briefing on Academic Internal Quality Audit Action Plans was held on 5 July 2017 at IPQ’s Executive Meeting Room. The briefing aimed to provide explanations of the Academic Internal Audit process which will be held from July 16 to 31, 2017, after the Internal Audit Department process which is being conducted from July 2 to 13, 2017. The implementation of the Academic Internal Audit process right after the Internal Audit Department is in accordance with the ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System standard which has been renewed by the International Agency and will be audited by SIRIM at the end of this year.

IPQ hopes that the Internal Quality Audit and SIRIM Audit will run smoothly this year to ensure that the transition process is successful. Lastly, IPQ would also like to thank all participants for their cooperation and commitment at the briefing.
