On November 9, 2017 (Thursday), the Institute of Quality Management (IPQ) received a 5S/QE benchmarking visit from the Student Affairs Department (HEP). The visit was led by Mr. Omar Ibrahim, the Assistant Registrar of HEP and 7 staff from the department. The purpose of the visit was to gain experience and sharing of the 5S implementation practices that are practiced in IPQ.
On October 24, 2017 (Tuesday), the Institute of Quality Management (IPQ) has organised a workshop on Self-Assessment Report (SAR) Presentation for UUM’s Bachelor of International Affairs Management with Honours (BIAM) Degree Program in preparation for the re-certification from ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) which will be conducted in March 2018.
In order to produce first-class mentality students capable of demonstrating good example through leadership, the Institute of Quality Management (IPQ) has organised a forum on "Quality Leadership: Leading by Example" with the Student Representative Council (MPP) and the Student Development Committee (JKPS) on October 31, 2017.
A total of 18 delegates from Lembaga Zakat Kedah (LZK) and 10 from Arau Vocational College conducted a benchmarking visit to the Institute of Quality Management (IPQ) on 31 October, 2017. The visit aimed to understand and observed the quality management system practiced at UUM especially in the compliance with MS standard of ISO 9001: 2015.
