The Institute of Quality Management (IPQ) in collaboration with the University Teaching and Learning Centre (UTLC) has organised a series of OBE workshops with 7 Schools of the University. The workshops started from 27 February and ended on 29 March 2017. The first OBE workshop was conducted on 27 Feb 2017 with the School of International Studies (SoIS), followed with the School of Government (SoG) on March 7, the School of Computing (SoC) on March 8, Tunku Putri Intan Safinaz School of Accounting (TISSA) on March 13, the School of Applied Psychology, Social Work and Policy (SAPSP) on March 27 and lastly on March 29 with the School of Multimedia Technology and Communication (SMMTC) and School of Creative Industry Management & Performing Arts (SCIMPA).
Putrajaya - The success of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in obtaining the self-accreditation status from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) will continue to be a catalyst to the University for contributing to the improvement of the quality of national education and realising its mission of becoming the Eminent Management University.
UUM continues to rise in the QS University Rankings by Subject Area with two subjects namely the Social Sciences and Management listed at number 315 in the world for the 2017 edition. This shows that through the Social Science and Management subjects, UUM has successfully raised 49 places where it was listed at 364 in the 2014 edition.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dato 'Seri Dr Mohamed Mustafa Ishak, urged academics to intensify their efforts in the areas of research and publication in order to bring about the realisation of the UUM Strategic Plan (2016-2020). He said this while chairing the 2016 Achievement Presentation Meeting at the Senate Room recently.
